2015 Utah Inclusive Arts Festival

A HUGE thank you to the many people, including many affiliated with the Department of Special Education for the Utah Inclusive Arts Festival Saturday May 30th. Over 100 children and adults with disabilities and their family members attended, along with a large number of University personnel from Tanner Dance and the Colleges of Education and Fine Arts, and arts and special education teachers based in the schools. Special thanks to the Tanner Dance program/center for hosting the event! Critical players from our Dept. included Ben Tillotson, former student and the event's main organizer, and Kristen Paul; others of us included Ryan Walker, former student Emily Horne and Susan Johnston and myself (sorry if anyone has been missed or overlooked). A truly great time was had by all, and it was clearly everyone's hope that this become an ongoing event.
