Following is a list of ways to give.
Make a Gift or Pledge
Gifts or pledges to the College or one of the College’s individual departments can be made at any time. Use our Online Form, mail, or contact the College of Education Director of Development, (801) 581-8221.
Employer Matching Gift
With matching gifts, you may sometimes double or even triple your gift. Many employers sponsor matching gift programs and will match charitable contributions made by their employees. Type the name of your company below to see if it has a matching gift program.
Donor-Advised Fund Gift
A Donor-Advised Fund offers the opportunity to create an easy-to-establish, low cost, flexible vehicle for charitable giving as an alternative to direct giving or to creating a private foundation. This is accomplished by first establishing a DAF with an irrevocable donation to a public charity that sponsors a DAF program. The donor then recommends the allocation of the donated assets to a qualified public charity (such as the University of Utah).
Memorial and Honor Gifts
Many opportunities exist to make gifts to the University of Utah in memory or honor of a loved one or friend. These gifts are recognized in various facilities throughout campus.
Planned Gifts
Planned gifts, such as a Charitable Remainder Trust, can actually help you increase your available income by making a generous gift to the College of Education. Effective estate planning can have real advantages for you, while at the same time helping us!
Securities and Property Gifts
Your gift of appreciated securities, like stock held in a brokerage account or by you in stock certificates, or gifts of property have the potential to provide you with major tax breaks and satisfy your philanthropic interests.
