Dr. Cecelia Foxley, 2013 United Way Volunteer of the Year

A tireless and lifelong advocate of education for all, Cecelia “Cece” Foxley has focused her efforts in a variety of contexts. In addition to her work for the College of Education and many other education and community groups, she is a member of United Way of Salt Lake’s Changing the Odds Campaign Steering Committee. The Committee was charged with helping to shape United Way of Salt Lake’s new message, developing strategies to reach new donors, and providing leadership and guidance to staff. Cece took her committee assignments very seriously and helped open new doors, forge new relationships, and strengthen United Way of Salt Lake’s existing relationships with many leading philanthropists. Cece shares United Way of Salt Lake’s vision for transforming lives and communities and has been successful at helping others be inspired by the possibilities of what can be accomplished together.
