Salt Lake Center for Science Education receives national recognition

A Salt Lake City school is in the national spotlight. Recently, the Salt Lake Center for Science Education received the ‘Schools of Opportunity’ Gold recognition.
The National Education Policy Center uses this designation to honor public high schools that engage in research-based practices that build on a students’ strengths and creates rich, challenging learning opportunities for all students.
On Friday’s Midday, Larry Madden, the principal of SLCSE, visited the studio to talk about the ‘Schools of Opportunity’ recognition and how this learning model is being incorporated in other Salt Lake City School District schools.
