Class of 2020 celebrations

Despite having to forego traditional Spring commencement events due to the COVID-19 pandemic, university leaders held a “virtual” General Commencement for the Class of 2020 that aired live on April 30th. This event was taped, and you may view it here,

Traditional college convocations have been rescheduled for December 18th and 19th of this year. The exact date for the College of Education convocation has yet to be decided. This celebration will provide students who graduate this spring and summer with the opportunity to receive the individual recognition they deserve.

Michelle Love-DayOur keynote speaker will be alumna, Ms. Michelle Love-Day. Ms. Love-Day is an educational leader in the state of Utah and is currently working as a Consultant for the Teaching and Learning Department in the Jordan School District.





Further communications will be sent during the Fall Semester for the exact date and time for the College of Education’s convocation celebration.

The College of Education graduated 364 students on April 30. The degrees that were conferred are as follows:

    • Bachelors Degrees - 75
    • Masters Degrees - 206
    • Educational Specialist Degrees - 3
    • Doctoral Degrees - 80
    • Elementary Teaching Licenses - 64
    • Special Education Teaching Licenses - 15
    • Secondary Teaching Licenses - 15
