Rebecca Barrett-Fox
On October 27, the Educational Psychology Diversity Committee was excited to have Dr.
Rebecca Barrett-Fox present her research and field experience on religion and hate
groups. She is an Assistant Professor in Sociology from Arkansas State University.
Dr. Barrett-Fox has also written on the influence of Conservative Christianity in
the classroom and spoke to the ways students and educators negotiate religion and
identity in university contexts. Her work is driven by her sense of social justice,
interpersonal compassion, and the idea of intentionally creating a better world. Learn
