Special Education Department Receives BACB Approval
The Department of Special Education recently received approval from the national Behavior
Analysis Certification Board (BACB) for a coursework sequence being offered by the
departments of Special Education and Educational Psychology. Students completing this
approved sequence and associated field supervision requirements will be eligible to
take the national certification exam to become Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBA).
This national certification is in increasing demand in a variety of applied settings
including schools and school districts, home/family service settings, and other adult
service and community settings.
