STEM Success Fair 2

September 28th, 2022 was the second year of the Student Success Fair.  Held at Salt Lake Community College (SLCC), the fair provides an opportunity for SLCC students to meet with faculty and advisors from the University of Utah's College of Science, College of Mines and Earth Sciences, and College of Engineering, and connects them with resources. This year over 300 SLCC students attended!

The STEM Success Fair is a collaborative effort between the University of Utah and SLCC that gives undergraduate students the opportunity to connect with researchers and resources in a low stake setting.

Student ambassadors from the Noyce and Teach for Utah programs were also present at the STEM Success Fair. Student ambassadors shared information about the University of Utah’s dual Bachelor of Science and Master of Education (BS/Med) in Secondary Science Teaching pathway. This unique pathway streamlines requirements for a BS degree, a MEd degree, and a State of Utah teaching license, allowing students to become licensed secondary teachers in as little as 5 years.

The STEM Success Fair was recently featured in the @theU.
